Guidelines for the submission of manuscripts to the
Zeitschrift für Familienforschung (Journal of Family Research)
As a matter of principle, manuscripts should be sent as email attachments
either as .doc, .docx or .pdf files to the email address of the
journal's editorial office, i.e. to red.zff@ifb.uni-bamberg.de;
managing editor is Dr. Kurt P. Bierschock, the office's secretary
is Angelika Liebig. We neither accept hardcopies on paper nor diskettes
for submitting manuscripts, unless authors are advised otherwise.
Maximum length of manuscripts is 30 standard manuscript pages;
tables, illustrations and references included. A standard manuscript
page of the ZfF/JFR contains 26 lines with 60 characters on each
line, left margin is 3,5 centimetres, lines must be double-spaced.
Default separations should be avoided.
Each manuscript should be accompanied by the title, abstracts and
key words in both the English and German languages. The maximum
length for abstracts is 15 lines. German translations may be provided
by the editorial office to those authors who have no knowledge of
German. Citation guidelines in English will be provided by the editoral
office upon request.
All manuscripts accepted for peer review will be sent anonymously
to three reviewers following the principle of "revise and resubmit".
Based on the outcomes of the review process, a decision on publishing
the manuscript will be made by the board of editors.
