The Journal of Family Research aims to promote interdisciplinary communication and discussion through the publication of research on family and household from the following fields:

and related fields.

The Journal of Family Research is also intended to be a forum for discussion about family and society, or family in society. This discussion should also address current developments in forms of families and families´situation.
